1. Creating and managing your CPD Plan and Record (CPDPR)

You need a CPDPR

The first decision you need to make is what format you are going to use to create and manage your plan. While  there is no 'set' or 'compulsory' format for the plan, there are certain aspects that need to be included.

Your plan must include your:

  • identified learning needs
  • proposed actions
  • details of learning activities
  • reflections on each learning activity
  • attached documentation that verifies your attendance/completion of activities for the CPD year

Your plan will help you stay on track to achieve your 10 hours of CPD.

There are several options for a plan that you can choose from, such as:

Whichever method you choose, be consistent. When it comes time to make your CPD declaration at the end of the CPD year (31 March), or if you are audited, you will need to have your CPDPR and the supporting documentation on hand. Remember – you will need to keep a copy of your CPDPR and supporting documentation for three years.

Your CPD record - we've got it covered

Each time you purchase a CPD compliant programme from NZLS CLE, the record of your purchase and CPD hours will be recorded automatically in your CPD record at NZLS CLE - My Plan & Record.  This is the home for all your NZLS CLE records and is accessible by YOU to view, print, or copy, at any time by using your NZLS CLE login.

You can find My CLE on the home page menu and can access your records by clicking on: My CPD Plan & Record.

Tip: Choose a format that works for you and be consistent.
