The Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 (PPPR Act) is described as an Act to provide for the protection and promotion of the personal and property rights of persons who are not fully able to manage their own affairs.
It provides a means of guardianship for adult persons and for management of property where people are unable to manage their own affairs. The Act provides for a person to appoint another to act on his or her behalf in respect of their personal care and welfare if that person becomes mentally incapable, or to act in relation to that person’s property affairs.
This comprehensive book is a great ”how to” guide for anyone who undertakes PPPR Act work.
