The Children, Young Persons and their Families youth and criminal jurisdictions. (Oranga Tamariki) Legislation Act 2017 comes fully into force on 1 July 2019. The amendments constitute the most significant changes since the original 1989 Act. It is vital that practitioners working in this area are not only up to date with the specific legislative amendments, but also have a firm grasp on the important changes to the principles, purposes and processes contained in the Act.
